International Comedian
Melbourne / Berlin / Barcelona
Observational. Relentlessly.
“Clinton notices the things everyone has silently agreed to ignore. And refuses to let them go.”
Clinton Barnes is an international comedian active since 2026, fairly early in his comedy career, but his time in corporate has given him a lot of material.
He mostly performs at open mics around Melbourne, and occasionally Berlin and Barcelona, but would very much like to get out of the open mic circuit.
His comedy is observational, but he’s dropped the line, ‘have you ever noticed’, and instead tells stories that expose the ridiculousness of life through the eyes of someone who refuses to let the details go.
The gap between how much we think and how well we live. The social contracts we’ve all silently signed. The extraordinary absurdity of the ordinary.
Toward that end, he debuted his own show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2026 called, “No, I’m Not Overthinking It.” It was both a retort and a life philosophy to celebrate the overthinkers of the world at a time of chronic under-thinking. It received acclaim, not critical, but by loving audiences, which isn’t bad for his first ever show.

Loved it. Left it. Has opinions about it. Specifically about consciousness, tech bros, and the social utility of the cigarette-as-pretext.
Central Park, late, at speed. No phone was taken. Both parties left the encounter unsure what had happened. He maintains it may not have been a mugging at all.
ADHD and autism. One from a friend, one by failing to complete the test. Between them, they finally explain the accent.
He’s available for corporate bookings. Just make sure you clarify if you’re booking him for a consultancy or comedy.
Clinton is represented by himself, which is a situation he is actively working to resolve. In the meantime, please get in touch directly. He responds promptly, having thought about what he will say for quite some time beforehand.
